Bitpanda, the best regulated broker in Europe, launched Bitpanda Spotlight in March 2023. In today’s crypto world, it is difficult to keep up with the speed of new releases. What are Bitpanda Spotlight Assets?
The Bitpanda Spotlight Assets are both newcomers in the crypto space as well as older assets with a low market capitalization. These assets are offered for sale to all Bitpanda users & all BEST VIPs who have followed the respective Spotlight Asset can look forward to an airdrop. How to receive Spotlight Assets?
There are 2 options for this:
- You buy them as soon as they are launched on Bitpanda (ATTENTION: Due to the lower liquidity, even smaller amounts can cause a higher spread and therefore more costs)
- You are BEST VIP and get a free airdrop by following the respective assets
How can you follow a spotlight asset?
First you have to visit bitpanda.com and log in. Once you have logged in, visit web.bitpanda.com/spotlight, where you can follow the latest spotlights.
Do I have advantages as a BEST VIP with Bitpanda Spotlight?
Owning VIP 1 or at least 10 BEST entitles you to follow the Spotlight Assets. A certain amount of tokens is distributed among all VIPs who follow the assets. So a VIP1 gets one share & a VIP2 gets two shares up to VIP5, who gets 5 shares. Below is an example:
Assuming 1,000 tokens are distributed and 50 VIP1, 20 VIP2, 15 VIP3, 10 VIP4 and 5 VIP5 have followed the asset. This results in a total number of 200 shares (= 50 x 1 + 20 x 2 + 15 x 3 + 10 x 4 + 5 x 5). This means that 5 tokens are allocated to 1 share (1,000/200). In our example, this results in the following token distribution:
